Schapelle Corby...Guilty?

Schapelle Corby found guilty

On Friday 27 May, an Indonesian court found Schapelle Leigh Corby guilty of drug smuggling and sentenced her to 20 years imprisonment.

One wonders whether this woman is guilty, or innocent. Was she guilty because of the australian communitys going against the Balinese governements? Or was she guilty because of poor police observations? Schapelle Corby is a victim of forces beyond her control.
4.1 kilograms of marijuana came to be in Schapelle's boogie board bag when she landed at Denpasar airport in October last year. Her plea to the courts that these drugs were not her own obviously did not reach the ears of the Balinese judges as these men could not speak english.
What has shocked her home country is that a person from Mexico "smuggled" 15 kilograms into Bali. Their sentence? Seven years in jail. The bomb plotters of the bali bombings on the 12th of October, 2002 were sentenced to jail. How long? For two and a half years. Does anybody else find this a touch on the dodge side?
Whether she is guilty or not, I dont know. But i do know that you can go around the corner in Bali of any local town and you can get drugs of any kind for five bucks. Now who would try to smuggle in marijuana when you can just get it round the corner?
People around are saying we should boycott Bali. I dont think we should. The balinese people did not send her to prison, they are just trying to live their lives and the tourist industry is the only way to survive.
On the 10th of July, Schapelle's 28th birthday, people all over Australia will be going on a March so Schapelle can come home.
My opinion on this whole matter? I dont know whether Schapelle is guilty or not. But I do know that her trial was unfair. Her sentence is too long, her chance of a family and career has been stripped away from her just because her trial was unjust.
Schapelle Corby, set her free...

My first ever exam was TODAY!

Yes today I had my first ever exam. I sat down in my english classroom and stared at the exam sheet. I then realised that I was a senior student. How cool s that?! Anyway, I read the exam paper and realised how easy it was! The first section was comprehension, which was just an article and we had to do paragraph response on the main arguments, readers response and main ideas. Easy. Even though I had to start all over again! Hehe... The next section was print essays. And we chose out of 4 questions. There was short stories and stuff, all the stuff I studied so hard for and then I didn't even do short stories! I did print advertisements! It was coz it was the easiest one. Then the next section was non print texts. The techniques that influence and involve the viewers. So they were easy its just that I didnt have enough time. I know I passed. But not by flying colours. You know what I mean? By the last essay my hand was killing me. In fact its killing me now. It really hurts! The thumb part. Oh well. Tomorrow I have my prac exam on the trumpet. Yikes! Scary! So I'll see yous later. And remember...

Nooooooooooooo! Again!

Ok this blogging thing can sometimes suck! That was such a long post! And for once it actually made sense! Grrrrr... (hahaha! Travis!) Anyway, the other was just about me not getting very sad because of exams. And to tell the truth, I am not ready for them. Am I afraid you may ask? My answer is no. Ask me that however on the day of the exams. The answer you will get will not be heard as I will be too far in concentration on the exam to even realise another being is close by. So, as I am writing this blog I am thinking over and over you should be studying. I need to study on my trumpet scales, bio (havent even started) and music. So really I am far behind. I better go and do my studying. So stop distracting me. See ya! And remember

*Sigh*

Well today I was definitely not a happy chappy. I had to work today, thats ok i can deal with that. But this morning I had all my money for me to go and have a shopping spree. But Ryan forgets that he hasnt any money for his driving lesson. So goodbye $60... All I had left was $90 in my account so, i wasn't too happy. But I went to work. Was incredibly tired and hungry throughout and thought how today sucked. I got off work and went to Jeans West. They had nothing for me, although they were nice they just didnt make the cut... So I left without finding my dream jeans. I went to Just Jeans and finally I got the best jeans ever! My dream jeans. All together $80 but fully cool. The lady was heaps nice and was always waiting outside my changeroom to help me when I needed. Then I went to Cotton On. And there I found this jacket I had had my eyes on. I looked at the price tag............ IT WAS 50% OFF! This was brilliant! I could finally get the jacket. My eyes sparkled but then I was tugged back down to reality. Ryan had my money. I nearly died in the store as i put the jacket back on the rack. I left feeling sorry for little old me. I then went to the pharmesist(no idea how to spell that word at this moment of time.) I was buying a ventolin and the lady at the counter said to me "You have very nice skin. A beautiful face." This woman had no idea that my day was crap. She had no clue that I had no money to spend on myself, or that I was stressing about exams. She knew nothing about me or my life. She didnt know whether I was 16 or 20. She knew nothing. And yet this women brightened up my day. I left the store not caring for anythin else. All i cared about was that I had very nice skin, and a beautiful face. From that moment on my day went bad to great. I got home and mum and dad gave me $50 bucks to get the jacket. Justin (Love ya Justin!) took me to carousel to get the jacket and now i have all the stuff I needed. Plus a cute little black scarf. So no matter how bad your day is, remember it can turn around just as quick as it went bad. Your day will always turn around from being bad to being incredibly delightful. So put a smile on that face, and I ll see you next time!

BEST SCHOOL DAY EVER! Posted by Hello

BEST SCHOOL DAY EVER!

As all Aussies know in the perth area, we had the worst storms last night. Trees every where have been blown over, fence's are no longer in their posts and pot plants have been destroyed. As I returned to school that morning I noticed that over 20 trees have been blown over, the tennis court fence has some what disappeared and there is no longer any water or electricity. I shrugged these small facts away and continued with my next period. In period x (before recess) I could hear school kids screaming and yelling. Not in fear but joy. "SCHOOLS OUT!" The teacher got up to leave as I shrieked in happiness. She came back and annoucned that we were to call our parents for permission to go home. Now this school forbids mobiles in class, even if the phone is off. "Can we use our phones Miss?" asked a student. "Yes you can go collect them." Next thing you see each student of the class whips their phones out of their pockets. I ran out of the class with a look of pure joy on my face, running to each one of my friends and screaming in happiness. So you guessed it I am now at home. Just Blogging, talking to my coolest cousin Ben, listening to some of the greatest musicians in the world "CAT EMPIRE" and really just having the best school day ever!

DO NOT READ. JUST RAMBLING...

Well Matt was wondering if anyone was home in my blog. Its just that I have lately had a lot of homework. Yeah I know. It totally sux. But exams are comin up. AAAAH! I haven't even begun studying. I'm so lazy. This year i shouldnt really have a soial life at all, i should just focus on my studies. But I get easily distracted. From anything in my room hey.
You know I really didnt like Jesse Mccartney when he came out with his fist song, Beautiful Soul. I was all like, PUH LEASE! Hes 15, (hes actually 18) but sadly I have been converted. (SHHHH!Dont tell any one!) I am so sad. He sux, but I have the weirdest taste in music. I like cat empire, michael buble, missy higgins, coughjessemccartneycough, planetshakers, jamie cullum... Gah! I dont want my love to go to waste, I want you and your beautiful... AAAH! Kill me now! I so told you I was just gonna ramble. The acoustics in this song are so original. Ow! I just hurt my flu needle shot thingo. It hurt really bad. i was petrified when I got it. I was crying out to the doctor to get the thing out of me. I am so scared by needles. They bloomin hurt. I had to go to the doctors cause my asthma is just stuffing up heaps bad hey. But other than that my God is good. And he is my saviour. How awesome can he get? Oh and I like that song by Black Eyed Peas, after a guy from work kept on singing it... Its so repetitive tho, buts it all cool! Anyway some one is home Matt! Haha! God is good!
